In this immersive, hands-on session, you will build, fill, and transform a light and fluffy two-layer, 6” vanilla cake into a custom masterpiece. We’ll focus on the essential skills—from structure to style—to ensure your cakes taste as incredible as they look. For students 16+.
Menu:
- Vanilla Cake: A light, tender sponge with a delicate crumb.
- Berry Filling: A bright, tangy layer of fresh, macerated berries to provide the perfect balance to the rich cake.
- Vanilla Buttercream: Our silky-smooth signature frosting—the perfect canvas for colorful designs.
Techniques Taught:
- Leveling & Torting: How to prep your layers for a perfectly stable, professional height.
- Buttercream: Mastering smooth buttercream for a flawless finish.
- Precision Filling: Learning the "dam" method to keep fruit fillings securely inside the cake.
- Decorative Borders: Practice piping elegant leaves and star borders to frame your creation.
- Buttercream Roses: Master the classic technique of piping multi-petaled roses with natural dimension.
- Color Theory: Mixing and blending buttercream to achieve a sophisticated palette.
Note: This is a decorating class, and the cakes are pre-baked.
